Lily, Leaves, Tutus and SMILES...

Sorry it's been so long since I posted photographs, but tis the Season to be very, very busy!  I will do the best I can in the next few weeks to post more and since it is the end of the year and the beginning of the next, maybe even posts some of my favorites from the past.

This sweet six-month old just will take your breath away with her beauty.  Meet miss Lily!  We met on a beautiful fall day at the park and then zipped to another location.  She seemed to love it!

This is the third time I have been blessed taking her photographs since the week she was born.  She is almost a pro already! And let me tell you she acted like it the whole time we were together.  Smile after smile after smile...not one tear until the very end...and who can blame her?  Mommy and I said that was all..then Mommy decided maybe just a few more with that adorable owl hat and she voiced her displeasure...for about a second...then turned on the smiles again for the paparazzi! That a girl, Lily!

Watch out Mom--this one, I think, is destined to become a model! And I think, Mom is a-ok with that...because just last night she texted me about what we were going to do and wear next time...I love that!! Can't wait to see you again in a few months!
Mommy and I loved a new color treatment I have been testing for the next set of photographs! This outfit, those colors and the location just told me it would be perfect! Mommy said she had too many favorites, but these might be it!  lol   Who can blame her with this sweet face?   Hope you enjoy it too!

Look at this look she was giving me in the top photograph, below.  Mommy and I both found this too funny! I'm thinking she was thinking "ok, I have been really, really good, but all this goodness is starting to get on my nerves now!"  I love the captures that make you just laugh out loud--love me some baby faces!!   By the way, literally one second later she was giggling and smiling again.

This was the last set of photographs, the one where Mommy said "Could we try for just a few more in the hat?"  I thought it was going to push her over the edge and we did loose her for about 5 seconds...but then the hat became very interesting.  One of the things I love the most, capturing them being lost in moment.  Is this just not the sweetest?
Thanks, Mommy and thank you, sweet girl!
Can't wait to see you again!!

Little Miss J...14 days new to the world

I just love babies...those sweet little fingers and toes and those precious little lips...you cannot look at a sweet baby and have a bad day!  This precious little one is so lucky.  She has many big sisters and brothers and they are all just crazy about her being here.  And who wouldn't be?   And how lucky is she...she gets to share her birthday with one of her big sisters...yes!  born on the same day!  How incredible is that?

Welcome to the world little one!  Thank you so much for letting me be a small part of your new experiences!

James and the Pumpkins....

Time to catch up with some photographs.  I know I haven't posted many the last few weeks, so let's get that corrected.

I cannot believe this sweet boy is 2 years old already.  I have been fortunate enough to have been capturing his milestones since he was a newborn and as I say so often, it never amazes me these babies get cuter and cuter each time I see them...I always think that is impossible.  We took a Sunday afternoon off to run and play in the pumpkin patch and I do what I like to do best...just run after those quick little feet and click.click.click letting kids be kids.  Fun!!

So sad to be leaving California

We have had an incredible five days in California spending time with our 16-month-old grandson, and...oh yeah, his Mommy, our daughter and his Daddy, too. Our children will tell you that's what happens once you give parents grandchildren, you know.  We try to acknowledge our own children...but they aren't too fooled--they know we only see the babies...lol   Being grandparents is an even better job than being a Mommy & Daddy and we unabashedly love spending time with all ten of ours...we grab every opportunity to spoil them rotten, cuz, well, that's our job!  So sad we don't get to see this sweet face as often as we would like and we tried to leave months worth of memories with him in a very short time.  I will be crying when we board the plane in a few hours.  We love you little "L"....you are sunshine wrapped up in a smile!

And photographers sometimes just snap away like everyone else...sometimes we don't worry about sunshine in faces, and the fact we didn't edit perfectly, or that our new laptop is showing everyone in blue and we have no idea what color this is showing...We just enjoy the moment!!  I can't wait to share more photographs of all our sweet babies as time goes on!!

Ready....Set....Blog!!

It's been such a long time coming--but at long last here I am blogging!!  Please be kind to me, I am experiencing a learning curve and although I was scared to death..you know, so far, it's not that bad.   It wasn't the blogging that scared me so much as setting it all up, but my daughter was kind enough to give me a gentle kick and three days later after months of procrastination...well here we are!

Learning curves and growing pains seemed to be where I lived year before last and this has been a year of re-evaluation, revising, refocusing and reform.  Whoop-sie-daisy Gallery is headed for a new day and new way and I can't wait to share it all with you in the coming months.  I have new lenses, new editing tools, and soon will have new props.   I am totally revising the Whoop-sie-daisy Gallery web site...look for the announcement when it is complete.
  • There will be some price revisions...but ones I think you are going to love.
  • There are going to be new packages...again, I hope you will love them.
  • There will be freebies, and coupons and special promotions.
  • There will be new products, new policies, new opportunities...it's going to be fun!

It's the Whoop-sie-daisy Gallery so many of you have been so kind to support -- ONLY BETTER!!  I am so excited to be back full time and the new things to come.   To all of you that continue to show me your undeniable love and support I can't thank you enough.  To my family who supports my dreams and believes in me, even when I don't, I love you.  And most of all, thank you to God who never fails me and continually reminds me of my many blessings in life.

Thank you so much for stopping by to visit and I hope you will come by often!
